Machine mechanic
In 2011, I joined the maintenance department as a machine mechanic and started working on repairing machines and equipment. After about 3 years, I switched to adjusters - after initial training I started to carry out adjustment and repairs of all the machines used for the production of chemical specialties. Specifically, filling machines, screw machines, steam tunnels, conveyor belts, labelers and pumps, pneumatic cylinders, or other parts of the production lines. At the same time, I still do routine work in the locksmith shop, such as repairing plastic pipes or replacing gearboxes and pneumatic cylinders. In 2012, I joined the company's volunteer fire department as a firefighter, and in 2016 I became the fire chief. I thus participate in the provision of fire protection in the company, ensure the readiness of the department for action and also act as a prevention officer of the department.
I enjoy working in the company, it is an interesting job, I get to work on different types of machines and their repairs, so the work is not monotonous. I see a great benefit in a very good team and friendly atmosphere, including a supportive attitude from the foreman. Everything can always be discussed and agreed.

Head of ACCU production
I joined Bochemie in the summer of 2021 as Quality Manager in the ACCU business. I used my experience from my previous work as a production manager and subsequently as a quality manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Quality is about perfect knowledge of working procedures, knowledge of critical areas of points of the production concerned and, above all, about setting up controls so that these critical points are able to catch a potential problem while it is still possible to repair, rework or simply stop the progress of an intermediate product to the next production step. This is because with each production step, the intermediate product becomes more expensive, the most expensive being the recall of a poor quality product from the customer. The main thing that I have always strived for, and now in a different position I am still promoting, is that quality is not just a department overseeing the quality of a product, but it is the way we all work in the company. Because quality is in our hands.
Pretty soon I moved on to lead ACCU production. Hand in hand with the established quality standards, we in the ACCU team have continued to train and improve performance, especially on the assembly lines, and to stabilize performance on the filling lines with a maximum effort to reduce scrap rate. The most important thing, however, has been to expand the skills of ACCU staff with the aim of gradually building a team of people who can handle more than one job and at the same time are as comfortable as possible with the job position. It's nice to see that basically everyone at ACCU can work on multiple operations, which is a big relief, especially for the foremen. A previously unsolvable problem of a particular worker missing can now be solved by moving a colleague from another site.
At the end of 2023, I expanded my role to include production management at our subsidiary GAZ where I now have the following main tasks: Transferring the production of the internal battery section (stack) from GAZ to Bochemie. Completion of the cell welding machine project so that in one production step the cell is welded and tested for tightness and can proceed immediately to the formation. And also to completely eliminate manual welding of cells.
I have to say that in terms of my experience so far, my current job is the most interesting I have ever done. It is a work across all departments in the company, it is necessary to look for solutions, often even non-standard solutions.
It is also very important to me that we ‘Bochemie people’ work in a company where it is possible to talk, discuss and consult about work (and sometimes non-work) matters with virtually anyone. I appreciate that very much and I support such a company culture. I know from my own experience that it is not common in every company.

ACCU Marketing Manager
Since 2010 I have been part of Bochemie, where I joined immediately after completing my Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management. I started as an assistant of the Technical Director, full of determination and enthusiasm for a new working environment that appealed to me immediately. As an inexperienced graduate at the time, I was grateful for the opportunity the company provided.
With a strong will to demonstrate my ability to learn quickly and handle diverse tasks, I have always been motivated by my more senior and experienced colleagues. Their example and professional guidance allowed me to expand my competences and gradually I gained new opportunities for personal and professional growth within our company. After a year I moved from an assistant to the position of EU Project Manager. In this role I was responsible for managing several European projects, including their administrative support and coordinating communication with project teams. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to join the marketing department as a Junior Brand Manager. This role not only became crucial for my further professional development, but also set the direction of my career path.
During my career at Bochemie, I successfully completed my Master's degree at the Technical University of Ostrava (VŠB-TU), which was possible also thanks to the support from my employer. I also took time for maternity and parental leave, which lasted three years and during which I was able to enjoy time with my family.
I am now in my sixth year in the marketing department, and for the last four years I have worked as Product Manager for the Bochemit brand. During this time I gained a lot of valuable experience that contributed to my professional and personal development. I am very grateful for it and I look forward to the new challenges that await me in my role as ACCU Marketing Manager.

Accountant
I have been working at Bochemie as an Independent Professional Accountant since the beginning of 2023. In the previous year, I completed my Master's degree at the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Ostrava (VŠB-TU), specializing in accounting and taxation. I have also already had experience from several trainee programs that I have completed in a bank, in the accounting department of an automotive company and in financial auditing.
I see accounting and financial reporting in Bochemie as an interesting and complex task. I have to look at my work both in detail, for example when issuing invoices or posting individual invoices received, and from a larger perspective, because it is a group, a consolidated group that includes Bochemie as the parent company and several subsidiaries based in different countries around the world. I therefore focus on the individual links between the companies in the Group and the subsequent consolidation of the accounts of all the companies, which leads to the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
At Bochemie I have the opportunity to learn new things, gain valuable experience and develop my skills and analytical thinking.

Junior energy specialist
I joined Bochemie in February 2023 as a junior energy specialist, shortly after I graduated from Technical University of Ostrava (VŠB-TU), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with a degree in Power Engineering. The HR department received my CV from the recruitment agency and I was subsequently invited for an interview. Firstly, I was given a more detailed introduction to the company, what they do and where I could go within the company. After the interview I was hired and became part of the Technology Management department.
At first, I was in charge of simpler sub-tasks that allowed me to get to know the company, the technology and my colleagues. These included, for example, creating a scale floor plan of existing buildings, designing a battery storage system, and calculating and designing photovoltaic power plant. At the beginning everything was new to me and therefore more difficult to navigate. Thanks to more experienced and helpful colleagues who advised me on who to go to with the issue, I managed everything.
As time went on, the tasks became more complicated and the scope of my portfolio expanded. I also visited the German subsidiary GAZ. After half a year in Bochemie, I was offered to become the project manager for the construction of new central changing rooms, laboratories and a modern administration building.
It is an interesting, responsible and flexible job where you are partly in the office and partly on the construction site or in meetings outside the company. It's not easy, but thanks to the great team of experienced colleagues I have access to, together we face new challenges, opportunities, ideas and obstacles that need to be dealt with in the best possible way and that keep us moving forward. And on these construction projects, things change every day.
What I really enjoy about my job is that I get to work with smart and capable people among my colleagues. My line manager helps me a lot and I can come to him at any time with anything, this person really keeps a good track of everything. What is also great is that my work is not monotonous and the result is visible after each week.
Probably the most important thing for working at Bochemie is not to be afraid to work, to come up with new ideas, to communicate and to use common sense.

Electrode assembly lines adjuster
I joined Bochemie in 2018 as a chemist in the production of electrode plates for industrial batteries. As time went on, I went through several centers of this production, i.e., I learned to operate the relevant machines at different stages of the production process. First there were the perforating machines, which perforate the steel strip from which the electrodes for our industrial batteries are produced in the next step. I also received training and worked on the filling lines where the aforementioned electrode plates are produced, as well as on stack assembly. I also had the opportunity to experience battery production directly at our subsidiary GAZ in Germany. Today I work on the positive electrode assembly line as an adjuster.
For me personally it is important that I enjoy my work. Because I have worked on multiple operations, it is not boring. Equally important is the stability of the job, for which I don't have to commute far. In addition, the supervisors here are human and the workplace atmosphere is friendly.
